    Consider it bought.

Also, concerning the fantasy book you are currently writing, may I suggest you read the Dresden Files, its really well made books and the author is in personal ‘Top 3 Authors’ (Your also in the top 3 though).

Considering its you, I am looking forward to the fantasy book aswell.
Question: If the fantasy book sells really well, will you consider doing more?

    Thats all for now.

8 hrs and still waiting… waiting… Does anyone know how long it took for the last book to become available?

It really varies, probably due to some physical check of the book by an amazon employee. Sometimes it’s like four hours, other times it’s more like twelve.

Enjoy the book! And please, take a few moments to leave a review as soon as you’ve finished. Be honest if you liked it! If you didn’t like it then you should still be honest….just, maybe wait awhile before posting your review ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also, Admiral’s Lady needs a few moroe reviews, so if you have read and enjoyed it, we’d appreciate the help!

Its up! Admiral’s Trial is live!

@emil – Love the Dresden Files. My favorites are probably the books starting with dead beat and on after that but stopping before Changes. Changes and Ghost story are just not my favorites, although the last book was right back onto the usual coolness factor.

    I will say that I don’t think I’m a Jim Butcher… yet. yahahhahaha!

I just hope I don’t embarrass myself too badly with this fantasy foray. That said, of course, if it sold good I would plop out another one. However I have to stay true to my Spineward Sectors series, at least until people stop buying the Admiral. Or until I complete the pre-envisioned story ARC. Don’t fear, much like Mr. Butcher I have about 12 books pre-planned. So anyway I just need to get serious with Falon, get her done and get back for some Revenge!

Bought the book now, immediately as I came home.
Also, don’t try to demean yourself, you are quite a good writer yourself.
I cant remember quite the names on all the books out of my head, like you, Oh Almighty Writer, bless upon me your knowledge! (Totaly not cult like ;D

Got some stuff to do today that I cant put off any longer, so I’ll most likely start reading the book tomorrow, while forcing myself not to even start reading it.
Once it have begun, it cannot be stopped!

I hope you enjoy it Emil. AS for my massive Dresden Verse knowledge, if you want to become as all knowing as me, you must first channel your Almighty Writer!

Hope you enjoy the re-read. I will say that we added a couple chapters in response to some of the critisism.

God, you just “OH, btw, we just added a couple chapters”…
Seriously, you trying to make me fail my classes?
“Hey, forget about studying, you should be reading.. No, not school books, that’s useless.. Go read admiral Trial!”

Oh btw, am I now ‘N.1 Cult member of The Almighty Writer’ now as well? May I ask about what my duties will be? Except for my eternal worshipment of the Almighty Writer! ^^.

@Andrew – thank! We can use as many sales and reviews as we can get especially these first couple days!

@Emil – Ah the trials of being a Beta Reader. If this book was such a ‘trial’ then are you sure you can survive the…. Revenge? (Evil grin)

Finish your school work first… then go back and read the ‘updated’ version. mwahahahahah!

Besides we had to add extra chapters. Not only did the beta’s point out a few weak points with ending sub-plots but… how can we keep you coming back for more? hahahahah have a blast guys!

Funnily enough my first thought on finishing Admiralโ€™s Trial and the two chapter teaser of Revenge is “Who’s going to be the one hiring the PR company to make recruitment ads for the Confederation Navy?” Jason because with his up-bringing Public Relations would be a tool he’s intimately familiar with or Akantha because that would be fracking hilarious!

    But enough of THAT!

Great book I loved every second of it although I’m starting to agree with the grumpy old Engineer that the quack must have screwed up on his endorphins and adrenalin levels because he’s getting more than a bit over the top, half the time I actually expected him to start crewing the scenery.

I missed Akantha but it balances out with Tribulations of course.

It’ll be a few days before I can do a reread and work up a proper review for Amazon maybe the weekend but I’m seriously thinking 5 Star, really really enjoyed it.

How about a big picture of Spalding, pointing towards you with the big test underneath “We need you!” as a recruitment picture? ;D

Got the beta version and the paid for version.. Wasn’t able to offer any edit suggestions on a few typos, I ran off to the deepest darkest countryside of Europe and forgot my power adapter.. My kindle fortunately uses a USB adapter so I could read, but wasn’t able to edit or send back the Word version copy.. Otherwise I enjoyed the book,, there is a little disconnect between Trib and Trial,, but that’s to be expected with the complete perspective change. Otherwise, it’s a great set up book. By the way, I hope when the time comes we get to see how the Tyrant actually conducts business in His Empire on his watch as well as how history sees him. Sympathetically hopefully, but unlikely.

The extra chapters made the story read smoother when compared with the ARC version. ๐Ÿ™‚

I bought the published version and will add a review in a few moments.

PS: in my amazon version it seems you forgot to erase the phrase “2nd potential end of book 3 Admiral in Spite of Himself”.

One handing ya! One handing ya!! hahahahahhha

I uploaded the new and improved file yesterday.

@Alves: Thanks for letting us know about those extra chapters. Nothing’s perfect but we figured (mostly at my brother’s urging) that they were needed. Although for some reason someone else seemed to say the opposite. One of the comments I think mentioned how there were a lot of boring sub-plots.

Oh well can’t please everyone I guess.

I say just so long as I can keep pumping out more work of the same quality I’ll be happy… now if I keep getting better and better (evil grin) I won’t be unhappy or say no to that either!

Boring SUB-PLOTS? Whoever said that deserves not to live! Personally, I love the sub-plots parts. Heh, never imagined Spalding had a son, and that wife story? Wow, what a cold-hearted bitch.
I just cant resist reading the book.. Its a great way to lose some hours, really great book to read while training (The part where I sit on a bicycle and paddle for 20-40minutes.. Or when I do the static-plank, personal record without reading book at same time => 2min 26sec , record while reading book = 4min 14sec with a lot of pain the day after.. and the day after that (Since I exercised the day after as-well.. and did it all over ^^. )

The point is, its a great book.

I loved the book but didn’t like the cover, Akantha wasn’t hardly in this book, is the blue hair girl with the big chest her? Silly as it is, the bigger the bosom on the cover the more romance I expect from the book.

Had a number of covers made up right after Admiral Who. We’ve got a new artist doing new covers for the entire series. However for the mean time all we have are the old covers. This was the best of a questionable lot.

As for the blue haired girl. Not Akantha. The old artist was a comic guy and every time I tried to get him to change something ever so slightly he’d come back with massive revisions. So there we go. big and busty. Oh well. Like I said the brother’s working on new cover art but it might take a while.

We have an Admiral Who? cover nearing completion. It’s basically a third person view of the bridge. Hope Josh likes it… I think it’s pretty rad. Not a lot of character detail in he artwork yet, but yeah, hat latest cover was the one Josh decided on from a fairly limited pool of options.

One thing that bugs me about Trial is how many of Tribulations dangling plots it doesn’t address. Like what happened to Omicron that let Akantha leave with virtually all her forces but still call it a war prize? what happened to the crew that ejected themselves in the fusion generator? and so on.

Is it an artefact of Trial and Tribulation being originally planned to come out as one novel? IE. you left all this loose ends that were supposed to be cliff hangers to be resolved in Revenge but since they book was split you had to leave them to dangle flapping in the breeze over an entire book instead of just the one?

Yeah I just didn’t see a great place to address the Nikomedes fusion reactor stuff and there were a lot of threads running all over the place during Tribulation. The fusion generator needed to be shown how it was ejected and why, and with the Clover down to only 2 fusion generators… Anyway Nikomedes has quite the back story but other than the part shown in Tribulation it didn’t really apply to the rest of the mainline story yet. He probably needs a novella of his own to explain where he’s coming from. But yeah I was planning to explain later on, I just couldn’t see a great place to put it in without detracting from the rest of the story either in Tribulation or in Trial.

As for the Omicron, Akantha didn’t really have much of a choice on what to leave there to hold it. However part of her positioning via the Omicron is cultural. Part of it is the remains of the Marine brigade was left behind to hold it, unlike jason she’s not nearly as trusting and refuses to bring a wild card like that with her but just in case they get any ideas there are still most of the Sundered there as well, along with a majority of their gunships.

So whether or not she can include the Marines in her claim that the Omicron is still ‘ours’ when she leaves there remain the Sundered, who are (at least in Akantha’s mind) technically her demon vassals. And if you entrust your vassals to hold something for you, you can’t not claim its yours, at least not openly. And conversely if you don’t show open trust in your sworn warriors and their promises then they aren’t likely to be as loyal as they might otherwise. Besides doesn’t have the transport to bring the demons straight to tracto, the Sundered need to get the word out to the rest of their people before they leave and plus she’s going to need all her loyal lancers for what she has planned at Capria. You see Capria, her Parliament and their ‘King’ are about to get a piece of her mind.
