Admiral’s Revenge is Live

Admiral’s Revenge is Live

First off, in case you missed it in any one of the half a dozen places I’ve been shouting about it (grin) Admiral’s Revenge is up on amazon and available for sale.

Every time I put a book up on amazon for sale is a similar experience. I’m thrilled, I’m excited, I’m a little worried and that first day or so I’m holding my breath to see what happens. With the first book it took quite some time before sales took off. With the rest of these, meaning ever since you guys sat up and took notice of my books, the outpouring of support has been overwhelming. I never really thought I’d get to the point where I had 6 full fledged novels under my belt and be able to call myself a real author but here I am, here we are and I have to say its a pretty mind boggling experience. Wonderful but mind boggling.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If you’d asked me two years ago that today I’d be a working author with 6 novels, two novellas and a pack of ravening fans (another grin) eager to read my latest and greatest sci-fi book, I’d have laughed in your face. But here we are.

I couldn’t have done it without you guys.

thanks,

The Deposed King

BTW – Sales are up to 46 Revenge books sold in the 6 hours or so since it went live!

Thanks. And thanks for the review. We had 98 sales with the book up for less than twelve hours today, so I’m hopeful.

Its always great to hear what the fans think of what you’ve written. Sales and reviews are how I as an author know how well (or poorly) I’m doing.

Well… I think that might have been my longest review yet… I even typed it up in word so as to not have spelling or grammar mistakes only to screw it up in the title with a typo… godamnit…

But yeah, everything I thought about this is in that review!

Thanks to both of you and all the beta readers that actually contributed to finding the mistakes and not just reading it… It was a well written and edited book!

    Hi Luke,
First off, I love how you took what I said about the last book and integrated it somewhat into the story.

Also love how you are slowly making The MSU (or is it MSC) into a legal legitimate organisation in an organic way that is not a Deus Ex Machina (hate those). Heck the core worlds, the border worlds and all those sectors seem to be where the action is at 😀

Also love how you are slowly (in a fast way) building the MSU into a real force to be reckoned with. More SHIPS!!! More people!!! More Death Stars (err wait…)

Would love to continue to see more alliances, more factions and more different tribes/races/planets coming together to becoming a Federation type system (like in Star Trek :D). All the pieces are already there for a first post-MEN organisation (one that you know free will plays a big part unlike the first MEN society).

Your books might not be the best story or writting (although they are pretty darn good and getting better) out there. But I really love how you grow the Little Admiral, the world, his organisation, his alliances, etc, etc. Making it one of the series that I really need to continue reading to find out how they have grown.

It is all about growth, and each book, everything grows 😀 Loving it, it is like a real life “fantasy” world.

FYI last words. I think the relationship between Jason and Akantha needs some focus too 😛 I find it the least interesting part of the last few books 🙂 Also dislike Akantha as a person because she is a bit too rigid… Would love to see her grow more as a person.

Continue writing, I love your books 😀

MSP for Multi-Sector Patrol Fleet and I’m glad you like it! I agree that the Jason-Akantha relationship needs more attention than its been getting the last few books. Don’t worry though, Akantha’s going to get her chance to shine in her novella-novel, however big it ends up being in order to get to the story I want to tell and then on top of that in book six it will be time to grow their relationship. They’ve been stuck in stasis for too long, something that was necessary due to the plot line of them literally being separated. I mean any relationship needs interaction and there’s has been more than a little bereft of that lately. So have no fear things are going to change and grow vis-a-vis their personal interactions/relationship/marriage. They need to start pulling in harness or else start pulling apart. Although as always, in anything they do, Akantha will have her own cultural issues that poor Jason will have to deal with (snicker)

As for the rest of it, I could give you hints but I don’t want to give too much away on the before hand. I will say that in order to continue to survive our main man will need every ally and supporter he can get his hands on and then some!

Do not agree about the focus shifting to a relationship. I mean when you are in life and death situations, there just isn’t time to by flowers, and talk, and talk, and talk. Which he has done anyway, granted; but If that is my interest I do not have to live vicariously through a character in a novel to do it. I would however be hard-pressed to build and inter-system empire on the ashes of a colapsed intersteller government on the border of a more civilized world. I love to watch the characters build, discover, fight and destroy, they DO Have other genre’s for those that want to watch two people fall in love.
I also like to see the hero fighting the good fight. (I actully preferred when the gorgon alliance was a dark alien force on the far side of civilized space.) But you are still doing well so cudo’s, more please, and have a nice day.

Well Gambit and the first part of Tribulation had a fair amount of inter-relationship interplay because it was integral for the plot via Akantha who was there to demand time and attention in her own special way.

So I mean, if you think he should ignore and potentially alienate the world of Tracto, and source of his lancers, because one of the main characters is demanding his attention….

I guess I would say that if you have a budding space empire based on a monarchy, (constitutional in his case and matriarchal in her case), you’re going to have to deal with some of those Monarchial problems that crop up from time to time.

Or you could look at it and say that one of the secondary characters controls a significant fraction of his assets.
